Three races in 2016 instead of five
The organization of the Ronde van Drenthe had to make the difficult decision to cancel two races in 2016. Energiewacht Dwars door Drenthe for professionals and Novilon Eurocup for women will no longer be held next season.
New name
On March 12th 2016 the professional race, known as Ronde van Drenthe, will start with a new name; Energiewacht Ronde van Drenthe.
Drentse 8 van Westerveld
The Molencaten Drentse Acht van Westerveld race has also got a new name; Drentse 8 van Westerveld. The race will no longer be held on Thursday but will start on Sunday March 13th.
Boels Rental Worldcup
The Boels Rental Worldcup will be part of the Women’s World Tour next year. The name of this race will be; Women’s World Tour Drenthe and will be held on Saturday March 12th.
